As Americans we seem to always be drawn to international travel when we think of a vacation. That’s bologna! There are so many historic, intriguing, and beautiful places in the United States, just in our backyard. Growing up on the east coast helped me appreciate the first cities in the United States and the accessibility of visiting places like Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Monticello, Charlottesville, Gettysburg, etc.
Cities like Chicago, New York, Seattle, and San Francisco have incredible skylines and views. Musical towns like Nashville and Austin have bred amazing singers and songwriters. Craving fantastic southern food with a dose of history? Visit Charleston, New Orleans, or Savannah. America has such a diverse range of cities and towns that you can find anything you’re looking for. The culture & people are vastly different on both coasts, the northern part of the country, the southern part of the country, and the mid-west.
