I’ve been to Italy numerous times, but they were always short visits. When my family lived in Germany while I was growing up, we went to Venice for a long weekend. When I went on the Mediterranean Cruise with my parents, we flew into Rome for a few days beforehand. After that we took the train up to Venice to explore before heading onto the ship. We also explored Venice for a bit after returning from the cruise.
There are endless places I’d love to visit in Italy, especially smaller, off the beaten path, towns in the country. However, they’ll have to stay on the bucket list for now – if you have any suggestions, comment below! If you’re going to Rome or Venice, check out some of the tips below.
